GAMES11 at Dubai Ice Rink!
Dubai Ice Rink, the Olympic sized ice-skating and events venue, hosted GAMES11 (the Games Alliance Middle East 2011), the biggest gaming event in the region, from September 22 to 24, 2011.
The world-class event witnessed the transformation of the ice-rink into a thrilling games venue with Microsoft, Pluto Derinton Games, Red Entertainment, and Sony Playstation, and provided 38 hours of pure gaming, including unreleased versions of popular computer games across various platforms.
The event also featured gaming culture showcases, developers, industry professionals and designer seminars, game development workshops, as well as a live urban sport demos and live music performances.

Emirates Hockey League Cup Matches At Dubai Icer Rink!
Dubai Ice Rink hosted the Dubai matches of the Emirates Hockey League Cup. The championship spanned over several months, from Nov 2010 to April 2011, in which the local ice hockey teams from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain participate for the coveted cup.
The teams that played the Dubai "away" games at Dubai Ice Rink are Dubai Mighty Camels, Abu Dhabi Scorpions, Abu Dhabi Storms, Al Ain Theebs and Al Ain Vipers.
The final match took place at Dubai Ice Rink on Monday 4th April, 2011 between Dubai Mighty Camels vs Abu Dhabi Storms and was won by Abu Dhabi Storms who became the Champion of Emirates Hockey League (2010 - 2011)
